i don't have an uncle lou - 2000-04-13
The difference between my 'source' and being 'touched', you pedants...:
'source' is indicative of a warm and fuzzy memory. Something, that when I look at, listen to, or feel now, I am reminded of something more than the very physical thing. Basically they are fond memories, the ones that I could never forget. (And not white trash, America's Funniest Home Videos ones, like my drunk Uncle Lou vomitting on the cake at my sister's wedding...)
Being 'touched' is something (anything) that had a profound emotional or spiritual effect on me. Clearly, I'd have some issues if a Pearl Jam song changed my philosophy on life... Basically it is advice received... but not necessarily advice in the conventional sense...
So, to simplify then: The two sections are similar, but different. In my 'source' are memories. Being 'touched' is something more... memories, that stain my soul (in a good way).
