lick me - 2000-05-09

It's a very work-heavy week for me, which I suppose they are all going to be from now until September, but this week should be especially bad. I don't think I will see Kim, maybe not even talk to her, until the weekend. That is quite saddening for me because, despite how sappy it sounds, I miss her, even though I just saw her this morning.

It will suck, too, because I finally beat the Elite Four in Pokemon, and captured Mewtwo. I have little left to accomplish in that game, save for catching Porygon, the very first virtual reality Pokemon... Don't ask.

I don't feel like affording books, either, and the magazines make me stupider, and litter my vocabulary with phrases like "that is SO not the point".

I think I will get through this week with what I used to do best at work, and that is writing. I've got some funkyass ideas that I want to see down on paper, and I've got gobs of time to do it, so... Tomorrow, I will take a notebook from the shelf, and start my writing. My Writing v6.7.

I also hope I'll have visitors. Dave is away for much of this week (very few complaints here...), and when Scott is around, he is only playing Game Boy. I'm sure Chad will be around, and I always see all of the regulars... I don't think I'm languishing. I would love for some fresh faces to come see me, and make me feel liked. I'd love to see Natalie or "Andy" around, because I see way too little of them, Natalie especially.

fishy visited today, which is always quite the occasion. He usually just comes when he needs something, like quarter-century old Jello, or use of a band saw, but it still is special because I don't see him as often as I should. As a matter of fact, I have never really seen him very often, as I became friends with him long after he had left my school. Anyhow, he was in to buy some Tootsie Pops, or something. I hope he counted the licks, because I'm dying to know how many it takes to get to the centre...

If you are reading this, and know where I work, come visit me. 2-11 Wednesday or Thursday. Bring some sandwiches. (No tomatoes, please)

I should have been in bed hours ago. Chad and I have a very early start tomorrow, for something that I forget the nature of now... Oh yeah, something about tresspassing, and bartering with the school...
