plants exposed - 2000-06-28
Oh, gosh, what to say...?
I've been absent because I finally got my Cable Connection, and I've been abusing Napster like it was going out of style.
Does anybody want any CDs burned?

Moment of revelation:
The sky darkened last night much earlier than it should have, because of an oncoming downpour. It really was quite lovely, because it had been a bright, shiny evening...
But then the clouds came. It was like some kind of shadow, almost, like when the aliens invaded in Independance Day (that American propaganda film). And, I chose the exact moment when the brightness became the greyness to sit outside and take a break at work.
I sat out there amongst the plants, and watched as they swayed in the wind, and I listened... And I imagined that they were like neighbours, all of them, living in their little pot-houses, the planters being the mansions. And they were all talking to one another, about this storm coming, kind of like neighbours do... how they all stand on their porches, and point to the sky.
And then I imagined, that once the skies opened, all of the neighbours ran into their houses and watched Jeopardy!, or something...
But these plants have convertable houses, and were unprotected... That made me sad...
Despite the fact that plants need water to live. So maybe in the plant communities, convertable houses are the norm.
And that really wasn't much of a revelation, was it?
