K: This really is quite a place. I feel like we're all alone here... it's great. Get rid of the teachers, and we're Lord Of The Flies, only with, you know, girls... N: I'm glad you came. I wasn't so sure at first, what it would be like with you here, but it's nice. And your friends are funny... Everything's working out well. This has been a fantastic trip. Everything is gorgeous here... I don't really want to leave tomorrow. K: I don't really want to leave at all. I've forgotten all of the things at home that make me sick, and make me cranky. I've got all I need here... Great conversation, beautiful scenery, stars.... All I need are some films for this movie screen here, and it's Utopia. Oh, that, and some more cigarettes of course... N: Yes, more cigarettes, of course... K: I guess it is kind of hypocritical that I smoke, I mean, somebody who loves nature as much as me... But I don't know what it is. Smoking and camping, smoking and hiking, smoking and stargazing, they all go together like, like... I don't know, some sort of witty comparison. White and rice. N: Good one... So, I'm enjoying this tape you made for me, I appreciate it... K: My pleasure, I love doing those things... I just wish I had more people to make them for. What especially are you liking? N: Well, I like the nine inch nails song, of course, because Trent is, to say the least, sexy... K: No, he's not. But, do go on... N: I really, really like Tori Amos, too... I hadn't heard much of her stuff before I met you, but I really love it. It's beautiful... Can I have a puff of that? K: Sure. You know, it's ironic that you bring up Trent and Tori in the same thought. N: Why's that? K: Because they have "history"... Trent and Tori, it is highly speculated, had a thing. They are at the very least, really good friends... You know, you are not really inhaling. N: Yes, I am. Watch... K: No, you're not. Give it to me. Here, see, this is what you do. This is how I taught Nathan... You have to take it, suck on it, breathe in, say a sentence or two with the smoke in your lungs, and then breathe out that lovely, lovely cloud of smoke. Here, try. Anyway, while Trent was recording "The Downward Spiral" in the Tate Mansion, Tori would come when he was all by himself, after a long day of recording, mixing and editing. She would come, and cook him dinner... Now, depending on who you believe, dinner would lead to, you know, after dinner amusement... Read between the lines.... Hey, can I have that back? It IS mine after all, and they ARE at a premium here... You don't even LIKE smoking... N: No, I don't. Here, take it. So, she used to make dinner for him... is that it? K: No, there's more. He sings backup on her "Little Earthquakes" album. She references "pretty hate machines" on her first album. That is the name of his first album. So they are at least friends, professionally. And we all know how easy it is to make a professional relationship personal, right? N: That is so cool, Kam... That is so sweet... You're like Trent, right, waiting for a Tori? Here, give me that back... K: Here, but I want the last of it. I don't know what I'm waiting for. I don't know what I want. But I do know that right here, where I am right now... Is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been... I don't ever want to go home... N: ...neither do I, sometimes...
